A Girls Guide to Moving on by Debbie Macomber

This Advanced Reading Copy was provided to me by the publishers in exchange for an honest review.

Debbie Macomber is a good author. A great author. My sole warning about reading her books is that you have to be aware of the fact that her material seems to be aimed toward an older audience. Not OLD, old. Just like the 30+ crowd. What with me being 19 that's older to me. I read it and enjoyed it but I grew up stealing books like this out of my mother bedroom. I've been reading Debbie Macomber since I was 13 years old.
The book itself was good, although I will admit I have read better by this author. But all authors have works that stand out more than the others to me so it's no big surprise that I would think something like that. One thing I will say is...Leanne annoyed me. You can't be all "poor me" all the time if you know he's cheating but you stay. At that point you're just bringing on yourself. I hate to blame her for her own pain but if you had just left him when you found out like Nichole does when she finds out her husband Jake cheated on her, that is a lot less years of misery and them you can't blame yourself. It's simple really.

Other than the massive amounts of self-loathing going on in the book it was alright. I wouldn't read it a second time but then again I rarely ever reread books.

3 Stars.
